Earth Guardians is a member of The Stop the Money Pipeline coalition (STMP) which comprises over 130 organizations, and is one of the largest coalitions addressing divestment from fossil fuels in existence. As a Coalition  we are holding the financial backers of climate chaos accountable. Our coalition is organized according to this  set of equity principles,  and demands that banks, asset managers, insurance companies and institutional investors stop funding, insuring and investing in climate destruction.

Stop the Money Pipeline includes individual campaigns targeting the worst offenders in each sector of our financial system. There are many ways to engage with STMP, including our campaigns targeting Black Rock, Chase bank, Liberty Mutual, Pension Funds, University Endowments and more. Not My Dirty Money Chase Pledge

We are inheriting a planetary and financial crisis created as a result of reckless corporate greed, deforestation and the fossil fuel industry. Banks are at the root of the climate emergency, and have historically had the largest stake in supporting the fossil fuel industry and forest destruction. We are in a climate emergency, and Wall Street banks are moving in the WRONG direction. Between 2016-2019, 35 international banks including Chase, Wells Fargo & Citibank collectively poured $2.7 TRILLION into the fossil fuel industry. There has been an increase in financing for coal, oil and gas, since the Paris Climate Agreement was adopted.

Chase Bank is the world’s largest financier of fossil fuels. We demand that financial institutions, like Chase bank, stop funding the destruction of the planet and communities for profit. Across the country and the world, young people are rising up, striking, and demanding that politicians and corporations prioritize our futures over the bottom line.
