Going from #SilenceIntoAction
Sign the pledge to be a Climate Leader and commit to taking concrete climate action in your community!
Earth Guardians delivered pledge signatures to the United States Congress after the People’s Climate March in D.C. on April 29th, 2017. But we're still collecting pledges! Together, we the people are no longer waiting for our elected officials to take action; we are taking matters into our own hands. There is no more time to waste!
Pledge to be a Climate Leader, and don't forget to share the pledge on social media using the hashtags #EarthGuardians #ProtectOurFuture and #SilenceIntoAction.
Pledge to be a Climate Leader
This is a critical time in the global climate movement, and now more than ever real leadership must come from us, the people. Pledge below to join the global movement to create a healthy, sustainable planet for us and future generations. We will deliver this pledge signatures to members of Congress at the People's Climate March in D.C. this April.
The pledge is only the first step; our actions will make the real difference.
• I pledge to join or lead actions that will build momentum for lasting climate solutions.
• I pledge to vote with my dollar and consider the ways my personal decisions and investments demonstrate a commitment to support climate justice.
• If I am of voting age, I pledge to vote for candidates who show, through action, a serious commitment to stopping the climate crisis.
(If you are under the age of 13, please get permission from your parents before sharing your contact information with us or anyone else on the internet.)

How this pledge started:
Itzcuauhtli is a dedicated Earth Guardian and young Indigenous leader. As he's learned more about climate change over the past few years, Itzcuauhtli and become increasingly concerned with the urgency of the climate crisis and the fate of his generation.
In 2014, when he was 11 years old, Itzcuauhtli decided to take a 45-day vow of silence to inspire youth everywhere to speak up for future generations. As a result, people from all over the world signed the Earth Guardian pledge to be Climate Leaders and wore green wristbands in solidarity. Thousands joined him in a talking strike on December 10, 2014. At COP21 in Paris we delivered thousands of signatures.
