Of The Land: Revisioning Climate, Food & Environmental Justice

Join us in welcoming the launch of Earth Guardians' upcoming campaign, Of the Land: Revisioning Climate, Food, and Environmental Justice. This campaign was birthed out of the necessity to adopt and reflect on the current challenges we face as it connects to climate, environment, and food/agriculture. We currently stand in one of human history's most significant moments; our largest, most pressing set of challenges requires us to develop and invest in a new perspective and strategy that's based in the reflection and revisioning of our humanity, our connection with our planet, and the future we wish to create. What is needed is a strategy that revisions our approach to the intersections of climate, environment, and agriculture. What is required is a type of justice that is rooted in our love for this planet, not one that is based in our fear of what will happen if we don't. And more significantly, a type of justice that is rooted in truth and recognition of the harm done to marginalized communities throughout the world by governments and corporations alike.

What we hope to achieve with this campaign is to bring awareness to the upcoming UN Food Systems Summit and its counter, grassroots alternative: the The Global People's Summit, along with sharing information on topics ranging from Agroecology to Black agrarianism and much more, while spotlighting the amazing work our crews and other leaders in the movement are doing. We hope that youth will feel inspired to act on bringing a just world closer and closer into our reality, in a local and global context. We hope that the campaign instills courage and creativity within everyone who interacts with it, for these are the tools that will be used in crafting the reality of tomorrow.
